The Mathematics Department at Tulane University hosts a summer program to provide research experience for undergraduates. The REU program typically brings between six and twenty undergraduate students to work in groups on a research topic under the supervision of members of the Mathematics Department.

Student participants receive a stipend plus travel expenses and dormitory space as needed.

In previous years, the research topics have come from:

  • Differential Geometry
  • Topology
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Statistics

The program usually lasts eight weeks during the months of June and July. The application will be available from this website and is usually due in February.
